January 2016: my first real professional chapter began. I joined StartCons as an intern and worked my way up, role by role, to country manager in Kosovë.
It also meant moving away from my family and from Switzerland, back to the homeland, back to the roots: for the first time not as a visitor, but to live and to build. In the country my family comes from, the task was real: offboard an outsourcing operation from eastern Europe and build a new team in Prishtinë from the ground up. Hiring, training, leading.
Three years that turned a career into a direction, and gave me real responsibility for the first time at a scale that shapes you. I left in February 2019 with a team standing behind. The method became a conviction, written out in Building a Team in Prishtinë.
