White-Label Thinking

Why an agency should productise — and what building PAGEMAKER24 taught us about repeatability.

Agencies sell hours; products sell outcomes. With PAGEMAKER24 — our white-label Swiss website builder — we turned the most repeatable part of agency work into a product, and learned more about our own business than any strategy workshop could teach.

The economics of repetition

Every agency has work it has done fifty times. Repetition is margin hiding in plain sight: the fifty-first execution should not cost the client the same as the first. Productising forces you to separate what is genuinely custom (positioning, content, brand) from what is process (structure, hosting, SEO plumbing, launch).

What changed internally

A product forces discipline an agency can avoid: pricing must be public, scope must be sharp, quality must survive without a project manager watching. Building the AI-supported setup flow taught us to encode our own know-how — the questions a good consultant would ask — into software. That encoding is the real asset.

White-label as strategy

White-label means our partners sell it as theirs. We deliberately gave up the spotlight for distribution: every partner becomes a channel, every canton and industry a doorway. For a young company, being the engine inside other brands scales faster than being a brand alone.

The agency funds the products; the products discipline the agency. That flywheel — services feeding software feeding services — is the model I believe in for the next decade of the eksperts.
